About Business Unit:

We are seeking a passionate, fast learning, self-motivated Engineer, who has strong communication skills and has hands-on experience in building end-to-end, service-oriented based solutions for the PowerMax Test Automation team.  The PowerMax Test Automation team is a geographically dispersed, high energy, highly functional team and we are looking for the best and brightest to join our team!  You will be working on and involved in a highly visible, high priority project which will be leveraging multiple technologies and bringing together multiple products to build out a cohesive customer solution set.

Role Overview:

You will be involved in all aspects of Test development – design, implementation, and debugging for a full stack of virtualized embedded storage software. Working under a scrum team setting, yet with limited direction and within general practices, the candidate will provide technical expertise by determining and developing approaches to solutions for a wide range of complex software engineering. Understands team goals and practices and applies them when resolving a variety of problems. Uses judgment and creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions.

The candidate must have strong communication skills to be used in communications with a geographically dispersed team.  In addition, the candidate should exhibit self-sufficiency, high levels of motivation, and the ability to quickly and thoroughly learn new and complex topics.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Supporting internal customers and meeting software delivery schedules by working in tandem with Developers and Test teams

·         Coordinates efforts to help drive the effectiveness of processes under which the team operates and delivers releases.

·         Reviews and evaluates new and existing software products.

·         Among others, utilizing the following tools: Perl, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Git Hub, Jenkins, Artifactory.

·         Problem-solving skills & always thinking about how to automate first!

 Essential Requirements:

·         Hands-on expert level experience in C/C++ with excellent debugging skills

·         Educational Qualification (BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MS) from a premier institute.

·         Good Problem-solving skills

·         Knowledge of algorithms and design patterns

·         Working knowledge of Linux environment

·         Strong working experience with variants of UNIX

·         Expert in one of the scripting languages like Python/Ruby/Shell/Perl

·         Expert in Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins

·         Working experience of Agile delivery model

·         Version control systems like Git/GitHub

·         Exposure in storage technologies is a plus

Desired Skills:

·         Knowledge of Pivotal/AWS/Google Cloud or similar

·         Knowledge of Hadoop

·         DevOps stack of tools like Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Vagrant, ELK stack

·         Using Tableau for Reporting
